Challenge.

How do you create a heartwarming campaign for McDonald’s promotion of a kid’s animation movie when you can’t show the movies main characters because it’s illegal to advertise to children?

Solution.

To circumvent Québec's strict legal guidelines, we wrote a story centered around the couple, instead of children, thereby creating a mislead.

Results.

The five-week promotion was part of a global marketing effort, and one of the company’s largest global promotional campaigns. From Canada, Brazil and Spain to China and Australia, customers of all ages experienced a wide range of Minion excitement from McDonald’s.
